Pompeii - One Day Ticket

Rapid confirmation.

Official skip-the-line tickets to explore the incredible remains of ancient Pompeii. All-inclusive, full-day tickets to all of Pompeii.

No need to queue on-site for tickets, so waste no time in getting to explore the wonders of the remains of ancient Pompeii, the fabulously opulent Roman town that was engulfed in ash and pumice when nearby Mount Vesuvius erupted.

  • Full access to all public parts of the Pompeii excavations.
  • See decorated villas and baths, striking 'frozen' scenes of life in Ancient Rome.
  • Open seven days a week.
  • Explore the exhibitions of the 'Antiquarium'.
  • Opening hours permitting, spend the entire day wondering the excavations.

With 44 hectares of excavations, restored buildings, ancient streets, and magnificent frescoes [see map (PDF)], there is plenty to explore in Pompeii, famously frozen in time by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. This one day ticket, available throughout the year, allows you to explore the ruins, villas, poignant human (and animal) final resting places, and monuments of the wondrous Roman city in your own time.

Included with your tickets is an e-book guide to Pompeii and the surrounding area, written by two prominent Italian Art Historians and available to download as epub (for iPad and iPhone, Android, and many ebook readers), mobi (for Kindle) and PDF for pretty much everything else.

You may be interested in looking at a 'Pompeii Card', a pass lasting three days that covers many other sites of interest in the area as well as local transport. The pass covers Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Phlegrean Fields, Boscoreale and many others. We also offer tickets for 'just' Herculaneum

At a glance details:

  •     Voucher must be printed. You must print these vouchers in order to exchange them for your tickets - an email or a copy of the voucher on your phone or mobile device will not suffice.

  •     This is a full 'skip-the-queue' ticket.

  •     There is a special route for wheelchair users.

  •     Please note that all bags and luggage exceeding 30*30*15 centimetres must be left in the cloakroom on site (free of charge).

  •     You may stay all day long and we'd recommend a minimum visit time of a couple of hours.

  •     Wear comfortable walking shoes, sun protection in high season.

No line tickets were a help. We were in actual old Pompeii for 6 hours and couldn't begin to see it all. What a fantastic place. Early November was a great time to go. Not a lot of tourists.

Had a great visit, once we found the correct entrance gate. Might be worth indicating to people who use the metro rather than the main line trains that the shuttle bus from the station (€3 per person) drops you at a ticket point that does not accept pre booked e tickets.
