Lake Como, private day trip

A private (as in just you and your group, minimum two people) excursion from Milan that heads off after breakfast (by train) to the chic town of Como. You'll be shown around by your own tour guide before being escorted for your boat trip on this most famous of lakes, stopping off at one of the delightful small villages looking onto the water. You'll head back to Milan at about 5.00 PM.

Lake Garda and Verona day-trip

A day trip from Milan to discover Sirmione (Lake Garda) and the beautiful town of Verona.

The tour leaves from Milan to visit Verona, famous for its spectacular Roman amphitheatre and as the setting of 'Romeo and Juliet'. You'll also visit the striking town of Sirmione on Lake Garda, notable for its thermal springs and Roman ruins.

The trip departs every Friday at 7:30 AM (Tuesdays also, in high season), arriving in Verona at 10:00 AM. After exploring the city, the party travels to Lake Garda and Sirmione, with time to look around the town, before returning to Milan, arriving back at 7:30 PM

Lakes Como and Bellagio, day-trip from Milan

A day long excursion to Como and Bellagio, with a boat trip on Lake Como.

The tour heads off from Milan every day between April and October, leaving at 8.30 in the morning and returning at around 6.30 in the evening. You'll arrive (private coach) in the town of Como at around ten in the morning, where you'll have a guided visit to the town centre, after which it's on to the lake itself for your panoramic cruise by boat to Bellagio. You'll pass by some wonderful villas and gardens, including the well known villa (now luxury hotel), Villa Este at Cernobbio.

Lake Como, winter day-trip.

A day long excursion to Como + boat trip on Lake Como.

The tour heads off from Milan on Wednesday between November and March leaving at 9.00 AM and returning at around 6.00 PM. You'll arrive (private coach) in the town of Como at around ten in the morning, where you'll have a guided visit to the town centre and a boat trip on the lake.
During winter this tour runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Lake Maggiore, day-trip from Milan

A day trip from Milan to Lake Maggiore, with a boat tour around the lake and its islands.

The tour departs from Milan in the morning, arriving at the lakeside resort town of Stresa with its spectacular villas and views of Lake Maggiore.

After exploring the town you'll head out in a boat sailing around the Borromean Islands with their fabulous baroque palaces and gardens. After sailing around Isola Madre you'll stop to explore the tiny Isola del Pescatori and enjoy some lunch, after which it's off to Isola Bella to visit the Borromean Palace and gardens.

The tour then returns to Stresa, thence to Milan, arriving back in the early evening.

This tour leaves Milan at 9:00 AM and returns at 7:00 PM and is available only from 1st April to 31st October.

Venice tour, day-trip from Milan

Take a day trip from Milan to discover the beautiful city of Venice.

An unmissable guided tour of one of the world's most beautiful cities, a mystical, romantic open-air museum famed for its many canals and marvelous palaces.

The tour leaves Milan by bus at 7:00 AM, arriving in Venice and then sailing to St Mark's Square. You'll enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, stopping at important buildings and monuments. The walking tour ends at 1:00 PM when you'll have free time to explore the city and have lunch. The tour leaves by boat at 5:00 PM, rejoining the bus and arriving back in Milan at 8:30 PM. Available all year-round on Sundays, this tour also runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in high season.

Excursion to the Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets

A day trip from Milan to the five beautiful, cliffside villages of the Cinque Terre on the legendary Gulf of Poets.

This tour leaves from Milan at 7:00 AM arriving at the Gulf of Poets on the scenic Ligurian coast at 10:30 AM. The 'five lands' are a UNESCO World Heritage site, perched on one of Italy's most beautiful stretches of coastline. You'll visit the village of Portovenere and take a boat trip to Monterosso al Mare with some free time for lunch. You'll then take a train to Vernazza and explore the village. After a brief visit it's a train to La Spezia and then back to Milan, arriving at about 8:00 PM.

This tour runs from April until the end of October on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and is in English only.

Excursion to Genoa and Portofino

A guided tour of the glorious historical centre of Genoa, the seaside resort of Santa Margherita Ligure, and a boat trip to Portofino.

An opportunity to explore the maritime city of Genoa 'la Superba', birthplace of Christopher Columbus and a notable hub of artistic, architectural and historical importance.

The tour leaves Milan early in the morning allowing a couple of hours for a guided tour of the historical centre of Genoa before some free time to explore on your own and have lunch. In the afternoon you'll move on to the pretty seaside resort of Santa Margherita Ligure and then take a boattrip to Portofino with time to explore this charming village.

This English-language tour departs from Milan at 7.30 AM, and returns at 7.30 PM and it's available only from 1st April to 31st October, running on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Afternoon excursion to Bergamo

An afternoon tour of the mediaeval hilltop "Città Alta" of Bergamo with a visit to the major monuments.

This guided walking tour takes an afternoon to explore the historical centre of Bergamo, enclosed by its 17th century Venetian walls and located at the feet of the Alps.

The tour runs on Mondays througout the year and is conducted in English by an experienced and interesting guide. The tour leaves Milan at 2:00 PM and returns at 7:00 PM, allowing about three hours to explore this cultural and historical gem.

The Train of the Dolomites

A breathtakingly scenic train trip in the Dolomites on the veteran Rittnerbahn - The Ritten Railway.

This panoramic trip to the South Tyrol starts with a bus trip to Bolzano, followed by a transfer by cable car to meet the train - the famous Ritten Railway. You'll then take a tour of the Ritten Plateau, a historically popular summer resort for the people of Bolzano.

The tour, which is in English, then returns to Bolzano with a chance to see the historical centre with the famous Piazza Walther and the Piazza delle Erbe.

The trip departs on Tuesdays at 7 AM, and arrives back in Milan at 8.30 PM.

The Bernina Express - train across the Alps

Take a trip across the Bernina Pass on one of the world\'s most striking railways.

This exciting day trip will take you to the small alpine town of Tirano on the Swiss border, where you'll have free time to explore and have lunch.

In the early afternoon, you'll board the Bernina Express for an unforgettable train trip across the Bernina Pass, a UNESCO world heritage site, and into Switzerland. The trip lasts about two and a half hours and ends in St Moritz, where you'll visit a chocolate house and have free time to expore this luxury resort town.

This trip departs from Milan every Tuesday and Saturday in low season, every day of the week in high season, always at at 7.00 AM, returning at around 8.00 PM.

IMPORTANT: A current valid passport is required on the day of travel - You MUST confirm and obtain any visa requirements prior to crossing the border.
