Spend a day visiting Volterra with its splendid Roman theatre and the "Fine Towers" of San Gimignano. A day trip from the Etruscan period to the Renaissance. A wonderful experience between art, wine and local food to discover vineyards, towers and typical Tuscan farms.

You'll be picked up at about 9 am by your English-speaking driver/guide at your selected location and will will be driven through the hills of Tuscany to Volterra in the private, air-conditioned vehicle.

Volterra is one of the most beautiful walled cities in Italy, built on the remains of an old Etruscan city with an ancient Roman theatre, the Baptistery and the 'Palazzo dei Priori' in the main square.

After exporing Volterra, you'll be driven to Tenuta Torciano - a famous Tuscan farm and winery - where you'll enjoy a traditional lunch and a tasting of some of the region's best wines, olive oils and balsamic vinegar.

After lunch, it's back a scenic drive through the vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees of Chianti, to the mediaeval hill town of San Gimignano. You'll visit the magnificent towers of the city - and discover the legend of the Black Rooster! Then off to the main piazza for the best ice cream in the world, made by a two-times world champion.

The return to your pickup location will be at about 5pm.
