Getting a 'skip the queue' ticket is a must. At our allotted time everything went very smoothly. The Italian lady giving out the earphones was lovely and we had quite a chat with her. Unfortunately our guide struggled with his English and my two teenagers struggled to understand him. I think next time I would get a 'skip the queue' ticket but explore the museum on my own. Yes the guide was informative but it would have been nice to have spent longer in certain rooms. Walking through the Sistine Chapel was rushed but I appreciate it was in the height of the season and everywhere was extremely crowded. We went into St Peter's Basilica alone and for me that was the highlight, it really is spectacular.

Enjoyed our visit to the Vatican. No issues when getting our tickets. Very informative tour, however felt it was too rushed and there was no time to ask questions about the things we were viewing. Too many people also. Very crowded.
[Tickitaly responds: thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you did not have enought time and that there were many people on the tour, unfortunately this is a tour arranged by the Vatican staff directly, so there is nothing we can do about guide and size, but we will definitively forward your message to the staff so we can all try to improve our services]

Guide was extremely knowledgable however we booked an English tour for 4 people and all of us struggled as the guide had a very strong Italian monotone accent which was difficult to follow.

The tour offers a quick introduction to the Vatican Museums. The start was delayed waiting for 2 people who did not arrive. If people can't make the start time, others should not have to wait and get a rushed tour.

It would have been nice to have the tour guide to take us right through instead she left us at the Sistine Chapel and did not even take us to the door. We notice when existing the sistine chapel that their were tour guide inside (of course not speaking) but they were exiting to the right of the door where everyone else who was not part of the tour left to the left. So we wondered if were were sold short of all the art works etc espeically walking through to the sistine chapel.

Again informative etc. But impossible to follow due to the sheer Number of people.

The experience of visiting one of the most beautiful site in the world is of course fantastic, but on the 27th of December, we were dragged along like cattle along the corridors, rudely pushed forward by the Vatican security staff, and cooped up in the noisy overflown Sistine chapel : so much for contemplation and meditation !

The guide of our 2 hours official Vatican tour had good grasp of English but accent so heavy he was hard to understand, headphones made so much noise could not hear him even when he spoke intelligible words and tour was so crowded you could not see much or move. Disappointing.

The guide was pleasant, professional and knowledgable. However, the tour was an extremely uncomfortable and fast "run" through the Vatican which ended with us being directed into the Sistine chapel, from which there was no return to continue our visit to the Vatican, meaning our expected one day visit was reduced to a little over three hours. The Sistine chapel was an extreme disappointment as the police rushed us through, giving us very little chance to actually view the wonderful art or sample the ambience of the place. All in all, we were very disappointed with this visit.

This was the worst guided tour I have ever been to. The guide was awful, she talked so much every single second of the tour. She talked so much and so fast with an Italian accent (English) that it was hard to understand her. We lost focus and interest very quickly as she went on and on about the subjects in all the paintings. It was too much information for people that were not students in art history or very religious. I would have been happy with highlight and entertaining stories, not details about almost everything. The tour felt like 4 hours.
[Tickitaly responds: We are really sorry of such a comment. All guides for this tour are lincenced by the Vatican itself so they are expected to do their job in beeing qualified and providing the most important information during the visits.]

The information on where to go upon entering the museum was very confusing. We were 5 minutes late (because of misdirections from guards) and they were about to deny us entry; only because our guide was late did they allow us on the tour. Signs in the museum very confusing. Guards in the museum were rude and purposely gave incorrect directions. After the tour of the Sistine Chapel, we asked how to get to S Peters, they directed us back to the museum entrance. As a result, we could not see the basilica. A very disappointing tour; tourists should be warned about the guards. Even in early June, the crowds were unmanageable.

Where do these reviews come from?
About two weeks after you have used your tickets we send an email asking you for your feedback on tickitaly.com and on the individual attractions that you visited. We ask our customers to give us and our tickets a rating out of five stars and to write a short review - all of these reviews come from people that have bought tickets from us.
Why are there more stars awarded than reviews?
Many of our customers opt to award stars rather than write a review.
Why do some reviews have a ? instead of stars?
Some reviewers opt to write a comment but don't enter a star entry. These are sometimes positive and sometimes negative - we include these reviews in the listings after the starred reviews, but we don't include them in the overall ratings.
Where is my review? I can't see anything in the list?
Each review is checked by our staff in order to avoid posting inappropriate content or personal details, and to see if the customer has had a specific problem that needs to be addressed. In most cases these reviews go online with their star rating and any comment that has been made. In the cases that there is an issue that we have to address, such as refunds or specific complaints, we flag the review for response. In those few cases, any star rating is immediately taken into account in our ratings but the actual review is only posted once we have resolved the issue or had an opportunity to respond. Any editorial comment will be clearly highlighted like this: [Tickitaly responds: .....].
Are these reviews real or have you faked them?
All of the reviews and star ratings have come from people that have purchased tickets from us. We are very proud of the service and products that we provide, but obviously we aren't perfect and sometimes things go wrong. Once we have addressed any problems that a customer has had, we will process the original review (although we reserve the right to fix minor typos like ticketitaly).
If a review contains offensive language, abuse or personal insults, we'll publish the stars but omit the text.
