Enjoy a 2-hours guided visit to the remains of Herculaneum, buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD, in the company of an expert, authorized local guide. The tour runs on Sundays between April and October, and includes your coach from Sorrento and your experienced guide.

Overview
Herculaneum offers a fascinating contrast to the remains of Pompeii - buried in hot ash by the eruption, the conditions allowed for the preservation of smaller objects and wooden structures which offer a fascinating insight into the life of this Roman holiday resort.
Wonder at the well-preserved frescoes and remaining intact buildings, and picture the daily life of those using public gymnasiums, shops and thermal baths that can still be visited today.
The tour is in English, and starts with a 45 minute drive along the Sorrento Peninsula followed by a two hour exploration of the ruins. You'll then have a bit of free time to explore on your own before returning by bus to Sorrento at about 1:30 PM.
The tour does not include lunch
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring sunglasses and don't forget your camera!
Please note that due to the presence of uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for wheelchair users or people with walking difficulties.
