The four star Hotel San Miniato is an exclusive historic home built on the restored remains of a thirteenth century monastery. Lying to the south-west of Lajatico (home to the event), Relais Sant'Elena is a shortway inland from some fabulous beaches, a little north of the famed Bolgheri wine region, and due-west from Siena. The property is framed by Tuscan hills and cypress trees, and is a delightfully restored traditional stone residence.

Aiming to sit and work in harmony with nature, the gardens are both welcomlingly relaxing and a source of daily fare for the kithcen. Interiors are elegant and warm, with earth tones to balance the surrounding countryside. Rich, colourful fabrics, terracotta floors, antique family furniture pieces, all combine for a romantic retreat from frantic living.

There are a couple of Jacuzzis, a wellness area, an outdoor swimming pool, and plenty of shaded outdoor areas in which to relax and soak up the enveloping calm of nature. Your stay will be in a 'Deluxe' room, roughly 20 square metres in size, either double or twin beds, either on ground or first floor (with patio or balcony accordingly), or in a larger (35 square metres) 'Luxury' room. Il Cerreto is located deep in the countryside of Tuscany near Pomarance, in an area of great natural beauty and nature reserves not far from Volterra, and about halfway between Siena and the coast.

Additional benefits (not included in the package) include cookery courses, Yoga tuition in the purpose-built, sound-proofed studio, assorted workshops, and the use of bicycles to explore the farm and surrounding countryside.

The rooms (about 20m²) are decorated in natural tones with solid oak furnishings, with hand-quilted organic mattresses and lavander scented, cotton or spelt seed pillows. Services include a daily change of linen, private bathroom, a mini bar, a living area with TV and free WiFi.
