Overview
This atmospheric tour starts at Trajan's Column, exploring the surrounding area including the monumental facade of the Vittoriano monument, the Piazza Venezia and the Via dei Fori Imperiali. You'll visit the Imperial and Roman Forums - the heart of political, religious and public life in ancient Rome - and enjoy a wonderful view of the Palatine Hill before proceeding to the Colosseum. Please note that the tour will provide an external view of the Forums and Palatine Hill, it doesn't include entrance to these locations.
Your guide on this evocative night tour will bring the ancient Colosseum to life with interesting descriptions and stories about the monument, the workings of the Colosseum and the lives of the gladiators who fought and died here. Everything is much cooler and more comfortable at night, the crowds have departed, and you'll have a unique opportunity to experience these monuments in the dusk light and sunset.
The tour includes your experienced, English-speaking guide, headphones and special priority access to the Colosseum in a tour of no more than 25 people. Please note that everyone is required to have a ticket - this is the policy of the local authorities. Note that the realistic content featured in the multimedia presentation means that children under 6 are not allowed to join these tours.

29th Jun 2019This was an amazing tour, it gave me goose bumps! I have been told that the day tours are very busy so wanted to avoid this - so glad we did as we got to see so much and didn't feel rushed or pushed through like cattle. We had the added drama of a lightning storm in the distance which made it even more incredible. The tour guides were full of wonderful information who also made it fun too.
