All Change At Rome’s Colosseum?

Scheduled to be ready next year is a new look at the Colosseum and the area that surrounds it, a project by the school of architecture at Rome’s RomaTre University.

Plans propose an implementation of ‘the missing circle’, a largely pedestrianised, traffic free area around the Colosseum, with a new attitude informing this often chaotic heart of Rome – new entrances, new excavations, no more temporary offices and barriers. An artists impression is below:
