Revealed just before Christmas was another exciting find, result of ongoing excavations in a villa thought to have belonged to a military leader or perhaps a high ranking magistrate.
The works were focused here due to the discovery of nearby tunnels, the work of illegal and clandestine robbers in past centuries. What was discovered was remarkable, as you can see in the video below and the photographs on this page (spoiler – a decorated horse!).
