Rome, Caracalla Baths, Mithraeum (Mitreo) open to visitors

Closed to visitors for the last 10 years, it is now – theoretically – possible to visit the ‘Mitreo di Caracalla’. For more information on arranging a visit, see here, and for some background history to the bloody cult of Mitreo, see this story in the UK Guardian.

‘Standard’ entrance to the baths at Caracalla is included in the Rome Archaelogical Card.
