Ticket booking for a guided tour of after-dark Rome.
Lasting around two hours and heading off from central Rome at eight in the evening, this after-dark guided tour covers a great deal of the Eternal City and offers sights and views that are bound to stay with you long after you're back home. The tour is by deluxe coach, but you'll step off from time to time for a closer look at some of the attractions involved.
The cast list is a long one, so take a deep breath: Piazza San Bernardo, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Veneto, Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, the Trevi Fountain, Via Quattro Fontane, (Fountains of the Four Seasons), Via Nazionale, Piazza Venezia, the Memorial to King Vittorio Emanuele II (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier), Capitoline Hill, the Imperial Forum, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the Aventine Hill, the Circus Maximus and the Tiberina Island.
As the city descends into darkness, it's a ride out and up to the Janiculum Hill. This, the second highest hill in Rome, offers some of the most breathtaking views out and over the skylines of Rome. It's then back into town, crossing the Tiber, passing Castel Sant'Angelo and finishing up at St Peters.
If you feel like going native then you may also opt to stay on after the tour for dinner (typical Roman cooking) in a local restaurant in the 'lively-'til-late' Trastevere district of Rome - just select that as an option below.
