How to take part in a guided trip into the classic countryside of Chianti, Tuscany - enjoy food, wine and scenery.
Leaving from central Florence at 2.15 in the afternoon (runs Tuesdays and Thursdays) this tour lasts around 5 and a half hours. You'll enjoy a relaxing excursion into Tuscany and the classic Chianti area, an excursion to stimulate your imagination and delight your senses.
First stop, out in the country, will be at a typical Tuscan farmhouse to enjoy a tasting of local produce such as salami and olive oil. From there it's on to the winding ups and downs of the timeless soft hills of Chianti; you'll be stopping at a winery to appreciate some local wines (accompanied by light snacks) and some equally special scenery
From the winery it's on to the hilltop fortress town of Monteriggioni, a must-not-miss gem of the Tuscan countryside. You'll have some free time to wonder the byways of this medieval jewel before heading back across the hills to Florence. The tour is available in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
