How to reserve places on excursion (from Rome) to the island of Capri
This is a full day's tour, leaving (by coach) from central Rome early in the morning and getting back to Rome at around nine in the evening. You'll have a tour guide with you, and the guide can arrange a visit to the famous Blue Grotto if desired - this is not included in the price of the tour, please note. A restaurant lunch is included in the price, as are all entrance fees.
The drive to Naples passes through the regions of Lazio and Campania, passing the famous Abbey of Montecassino en route. Upon reaching Naples you'll head for the docks and set sail for Capri, located as it is on the south side of the Gulf of Naples.
Once landed on Capri you'll be transported by minibus up to the photogenic village of Anacapri; once you've filled several memory cards with photographs (there are open views of pretty much the whole Gulf of Naples) it's time for lunch, and then back down to Capri. You can opt for a leisurely stroll around Capri, free time to explore by yourselves, or you may opt to visit the Blue Grotto during this time, paying the local guide who'll arrange everything for you.
At 4.30 everyone meets up at the Marina Grande pier for the boat back to Napoli and the ride back to Rome, arriving at around nine o clock in the evening.
If the weather is too bad for the crossing to Capri then your tour will be substituted with the tour to Pompeii.
