At busy times of the year, times of high demand, we sometimes pre-book Vatican tours in order to have some guaranteed availability. On this page you'll find details of what is currently on offer, if anything.

We currently have pre-booked availability on the dates and times that show up as large green buttons when you click on the calendar; see further down the page for details on the tour itself:

Simply select the ideal date for your visit by clicking on the calendar to the left. Once you've selected a date click on the 'Book for ...' link that will appear underneath the calendar. If there's more than one tour on any given day then there'll be a corresponding button, showing the tour time, for each option. Further down the page we'll also show you other tickets or tours that are available on or near the date you've selected, one or more of which may be of interest to you. |
These are 3 hour group tours of the Vatican, St Peters and the Sistine Chapel. You'll be joining a group of 25-30 people escorted by an official Vatican tour guide, and will visit the historical collections of the Popes. Walking through the Vatican Museums you'll discover the beautiful galleries of the papal apartment as well as the greatest masterpieces of Classical Antiquity and the Renaissance.
The Sistine Chapel, with the famous fresco paintings by Michelangelo, is the last stop before St. Peter's Basilica, the most important Catholic church in the world, built over the first Pope's tomb. At the end of the tour, St. Peter's Square welcomes you, surrounded by the columns designed by Bernini, now forming the boundaries of the Vatican, the smallest independent state in the world.
The prices are per person, and are all inclusive, covering the cost of the tour guide, booking fees, entrance tickets and the 'Whisper' audio system.
How you'll get your tickets
To reserve tickets for a Vatican Tour, just fill out the booking form, supply us with credit card details, and we'll do the rest. There will be no charge whatsoever until we confirm your reservation. You'll be supplied with a voucher and full details regarding meeting place, time and contact details for your tour guide.

have pre-booked these tickets. We will remove tours from sale once
availability is exhausted, but it is possible that we'll receive
double orders on the last few remaining tickets - such is the nature
of shopping cart systems. Should this happen (and that's very unlikely)
we will contact you within 12 hours.
These tours also require a minimum of 10 people in order to go ahead.
In the unlikely scenario that Tickitaly have not 'signed up' at least
10 people for a particular tour we will let you know two weeks prior
to the scheduled tour date and a refund will be issued if we cannot
sort out an alternative date.
Please note: Recent years have seen an incredible surge in bookings for the Vatican, and a less-than-perfectly-organised administration has seen some small amount of queueing necessary in peak season, even for pre-booked tours such as ours. There is simply nothing that can be done about this. Again, this affects everyone, and if you find someone claiming to be able to bypass this, then they're being disingenuous, to put it mildly.
