Florence ticket reservation - the Uffizi and Michelangelo's David

With each passing year the queues grow longer, with each season the number of available tickets goes down. It's a regrettable, yet unavoidable fact that the 'Visit the Uffizi' tick-box may go unchecked on your Florence/Tuscany/Italy vacation. The same holds true for the Accademia and Michelangelo's David, albeit to a lesser degree. Demand outstrips supply in the Summer months, it's as simple as that; we try to pre-buy tickets wherever possible (click here for details of our Uffizi tours with guaranteed availability), but each year sees us unable to satisfy a proportion of our orders. One good way around this is to opt for one of our Florence guided tours, where it is much easier to guarantee availability.

And it's not just Florence - the Verona Opera, Michelangelo's Last Supper, the Vatican - all see queues you'd find hard to believe, and many of your orders are destined to receive a 'sorry, fully booked' response.

We usually ask you to provide a first and second preference for date and time of your visit, and we will try to suggest alternatives if neither of them is available. However, it's not unusual for entire months to be entirely sold out, no availability whatsoever, unless it be last minute cancellations, and as these tend to be 'released' with only 24 hours notice, they're not of much use to average holidaymakers.

There's only one thing we can recommend. Book early. Very early. If you know when you'll be in Florence, make your reservations immediately. Forget accommodation - that's easy, just make sure you reserve your Uffizi and Accademia tickets as soon as you've reserved your flight/transport, the accommodation can come later.

Have we rammed it home yet? Hopefully, because you're possibly likely to be disappointed if you leave it one, two, even three months before your visit. Book now and enjoy the anticipation - follow the links below, or return to the homepage.
